TREF-Y-CLAWDD WI <Return to main info page

TREF-Y-CLAWDD WI meets first Wednesday of each month in the schoolroom of Norton Street Baptist Church at 7.30pm. Varied speakers and activities throughout the year. WI ladies take a full and active part in the community, supporting local events and charities.
Each month a competition is held. At the end of the year the member with the most points is awarded the ‘cup’. Tref-y-Clawdd WI was founded in 1937. During the war a full and active part was taken, including the making of jam! This was sold for 6d to help the war effort. Our longest serving member, Jean Kilby, has been with the WI for 46 years!
